I am using 2006 and am having problems with some custom toolbars having a mind of their own. I open acad up and place all my toolbars into the correct position, then quit acad. When I go back in, some toolbars are in different positions. Does anyone know how the location of the toolbar is saved? And yes locking them doesnt help, it only means I have to unlock them to put them in the right spot.
Thanks
Adrian

The Acad session you are making the changes in, make sure that profile name is the same one that your short-cut is loading.

I make the toolbars in the right spot, then save the profile. I then selected the "set current" button which then put them back in the wrong spots. So not even the right profile is helping me.
Thanks for your reply.

Yes, but make sure your Acad Shortcut on your desktop is loading your saved profile.
-
How do you do that? I know it is a variation in the shortcut area, but not sure where.
I am not sure it will help though if the profile I want is not loading correctly when I go "set current"
Thanks for your reply.

Right click on your Acad Desktop Icon, then select properties. In the 'target' input box it contains the path for the Autocad executable, the profile, and other switches. The text between the parens after the /p should be the name of the saved profile.
"C:\Program Files\Autodesk Architectural Desktop 2006\acad.exe" /p "<<Unnamed Profile>>"

If the toolbars are from different .cui's then make a copy of the toolbar that gives you problems to the main .cui and use the copy.
