Title: Xref options Attachment vs Overlay
Post by: Hangman on August 12, 2005, 04:03:31 PM
Hey all, this was discussed briefly in another topic, I don't believe an answer was ever given though.  I've been searching through the CAD test topic but all I could find were references to donuts and midpoints.  Perhaps the donut goes to the midpoint, I dunno.

Anyways, could someone please enlighten me on the difference between the attachment and the overlay in the xref options.

Thanks.

If you xref "attach" drawing A into drawing B, and then xref drawing B into drawing C, drawing A will be a nested xref of drawing C.

If you xref "overlay" drawing A into drawing B, and then xref drawing B into drawing C, drawing A does not appear in drawing C.

Clear as mud?
