Title: does anyone use a plasma cutter to cut letters?
Post by: andrew.. on April 11, 2019, 08:23:28 AM
Company has a plasma cutter and want to cut words out of the metal.
right now they make the words using line work... very time consuming.

i am looking to see if there is a font or a better/faster way to burn words out of sheet metal.

any info or tips is appreciated

If it does not need to be pretty  use simplex.shx (One of the ugliest fonts but it is single stroke)  then use the command tx to explode text (text not mtext)

Text2Geometry by Sean Tessier. Down load his software it should do everything you want works on TTF text.

Is really good used by lots of people.
