Title: Element tags in split floor plans
Post by: hudster on January 16, 2019, 10:50:21 AM
I have a building split into 3 sections using dependent views, and the issue i'm having is, when I tag an element in one view the tag shows up in the other view, but with the leader messed up, is there a way I can tag something in one view and not have the tags show in other views.
I've attached an image of whats happening as it explains it better.

Thanks For any help with this.

If the dependent views are of the same areas (or have overlap)...then no. You'll have to manually hide the tags you don't want to see. The `messed up leader (tail)' is because of the rotation.

Are you creating the tags on the "parent" view or the "dependent" view (good habit is to tag in the `dependent' and never tag in the `parent')?

Thats what I though, I'm tagging in the dependant view, but our client wants an overlap of the areas, so nothing is missed, and its tags where areas overlap that are showing as per the image.
I hate manually hiding things, it defeats the purpose of having robust view templates
