Sorry, I know this is probably in wrong spot, feel free to delete or move as needed.
With the Job Junk board closed to new postings;
Where would a person post that they are seeking and or available for a job in Civil Engineering/Survey/CADD & IT support?
I'm asking because that's my current state, and sometimes memebers have leads on these things before it gets to the recruiter(s)
Thanks!

MJ...hit me up; you're an awesome asset for any company. I'd love to try and convince my boss to hire you if you want to head my direction (Phoenix or Vegas)

This seems like a good spot to me.
Have nothing in your field, currently, but will keep you in mind.

Thanks to both of you guys....

I do not know where you live or would like to move to but we have offices all over the globe. Some office is always looking for people, there might be one near you. I work for Amec Foster Wheeler and we are currently in the process of merging with the Wood Group to form a combined company called Wood.

Thanks for that link, I'm in Amarillo TX at present, not opposed to relocation but might need some assistance with that, what is the policy if you know?
-
Oh no? That sucks to hear. Good luck, man.

AMEC is a cool place. I know a couple of people in their Topeka Kansas office.

The worst part is how these guys handled the situation...no communication, no feedback ....and then just chop a guy off at the knees.
Makes it hard to know how one is doing or even if one should be nervous about ones position.
-
Any luck yet Michael?
-
Yeah, that is right.
-
Hey Michael, still job hunting? Interested in the reseller side for C3D support & training? I know someone leaving a firm in Texas and is looking for someone to fill their place. He described the job as "Responsibilities would be to play with software all day long, do some technical support from time to time, and teach class every now and then."
Let me know and I can get more info or pass along your contact info.
Jeff

OK, the short story is....
I am no longer in Amarillo, TX
I have joined the Aliens from Area 51.
My wife wanted out of TX (Amarillo specifically) so bad we drove halfway through the night the first day of travel!
To everyone that has offered assistance and suggestions to me at this time.
Your kind thoughts are very much appreaciated.

So far no probes... and they seem to be well organized and busy in their markets.
-
`Area 51'? ...What's that (No one has ever told me about it and I was not at the park, sitting on a bench feeding ducks, that day)?! Anyways, what's in Ohio?

No....
No they didn't ( in total a sucking experience)
Back in the hunt, in Phoenix

Damn! That sucks. Good luck.

MJ, you are all into software with the approach of teaching and helping people and perhaps selling a copy or two of the software.
Perhaps it is time for you to go over to the "Dark Side"?
I am in a similar situation except I got cut off at the knees at age 70. That leads to very uncomfortable feelings.
What I am trying to do now is to open my own business teaching, installation, configuration, customization plus drafting on the side and now selling the software. I work out of my "home office".
The aforesaid "Dark Side" is Carlson software. I push the AutoCAD Embedded version. It's a slow start, but I can see it coming together.
Email Scott Griffin at sgriffin@carlsonsw.com and see what he has to offer. They have offered me a honey deal on software sales and I get to do all the training I want with the people I sell the software to.
If you think it may help. you can use me as a reference. Tell Scott I sent you.
