Title: Revit - Export Exteriors to 3D
Post by: MSTG007 on October 20, 2015, 03:37:11 PM
Just thinking out there. Is there a way to export just the outer face of the building and roof. Basically just the outside of the building (nothing inside) to a 3D Model? I was curious if I could do that, then import that into a dwg. Xref that into a design file (Grading Utility) just to see if everything lines up. (Roof Drains, steps, cleanouts) stuff like that. Again just a thought.

Create a 2D view, turn off/hide the interior walls then use the info provided >>here (http://www.theswamp.org/index.php?topic=50289.msg554273#msg554273)<< to align to a civil drawing.

I guess that answers it. I do appreciate the links you provided earlier. This just came up and we are trying to make sure everything aligns up.
