Title: Is it possible to end SAC process?
Post by: ekoneo on January 14, 2015, 10:04:08 AM
Hi all.
I couldnt find any way to stop command in SAC.
I need to end Subassembly Composer workflow somewhere.
Is it possible?

please explain?  other than just putting a last connection point in your assembly...and then using a standard sub assembly to 'finish' the desired design results

sketch please

I atached a sketch.
These two green lines are ConditionalCutOrFill links.
I want to prepare a ConditionalCutOrFill link like that.
If cut condition is TRUE, the ditch channel will be attached.
If fill condition is TRUE, the retaining wall will be attached.

But, when I use the link for these two alternative conditions an unwanted event occures.
At a fill section, the ditch channel and the retaining wall are occures.
Although, my cut condition is false and the cut conditional link doesnt consist, the wall is occures at the start point of green line.
If I make this section with Civil3D conditional links, wall section doesnt consist.
That is I need. To do this, I need the stop if the link's condition false and prevent next part's consistance.

IF I recall your 'conditional' sub assembly was never properly defined to permit any evaluation of the conditions.

Thus, if you are attempting to use that same 'conditional' link in your sub assembly...it will fail.  http://www.theswamp.org/index.php?topic=48534.0 (http://www.theswamp.org/index.php?topic=48534.0)

I can give you a sample drawing showing this 'working with standard links, and or polyline shapes for your wall and ditch assemblies.

However that won't 'solve' the bad conditional sub assembly component inside your sub assembly composer entity.
