Title: Rotate selection before move or copy
Post by: Woabow on July 11, 2012, 10:55:09 AM
One thing that I really miss in Acad is the possibility to rotate a selection while moving around during a Move or Copy command. During the Insert command there is the Rotate sub-command, but when moving or copying objects there is no way to rotate before placing the selection.

Rotating the object after placing it is no option in my situation, I need to see the rotated objects before I can see where to place them.

I found this topic http://www.theswamp.org/index.php?topic=40686.0 but it does not work with Move and Copy and has no osnap by default.

Does anybody know how to do this?

Try the Express tool MoCoRo ... it combines Move Copy & Rotate into one command. As per my post #10 in that thread.

For me MOCORO is the same as doing a separate Move and Rotate.

It's not about "is it possible", it's about "how fast is it".

Or is it possible to define a function key that rotates the selection 45 degrees without placing the objects first?
