Title: English version on Dutch Windows XP & satfixer
Post by: hyposmurf on December 10, 2003, 04:59:23 PM
A guy I know has this problem that has given him the following error:
"missing double in  restore file"
Ive found him a resolution for his problem by pointing him to a patch (satfixer)fom Autodesk. It appears he using a english version of AutoCAD R14 on a system with the comma-decimal separator (he's using a dutch operating version of XP).Now he's getting the following error after installing this patch:
1> error: input aborted
Do you think this may be due to him having R14 english version on a dutch Windows XP?Any way around it?

Has anyone ever had problems when using one countries Autocad software on another operating system?Like a dutch on English?I think he said he's going to give up on his CAD work and go hand draw all his work.Which would be a shame after the time he's taken learning the software.

Start => Settings => Control Panel => Regional Options => Numbers => Decimal Symbol... and change it to a period instead of a comma

remember that it may not work.... R14 is definately NOT supported on XP but you've nothing to lose by trying
