Title: autoload mtext arx's at startup?
Post by: butzers09silverado on April 14, 2011, 08:55:36 AM
The first time create or edit mtext is rediculous, i've checked the pickfirst and all that, it seems like the solution is to force mtext to happen on every drawing open... one and done so to speak...

I'm trying to figure out a way to force civil 3d 2011 to execute an mtext command in order to autorun/autoload the arx get the delay out of the way...

ideas?  thoughts?
thanks!

I don't have a delay with my MTEXT command.

However, I do know that the more SHX files you have in the support file search path, the longer it will take to run MTEXT for the first time.
We used to keep around 350 SHX fonts in the \Fonts directory and it did take a few seconds to launch the command. After trimming that down to about 35, it takes no time now.
