I run the civil/structural CAD dept. so I have no experience with this. My colleague who now manages the Plant/Machinery dept. has been with Autocad since r14 and switched to MDT5 at the 2002 upgrade. As he only has a few days to decide he is considering switching to Solidworks rather than Inventor, apart from the legacy data issue what arguments would you use to persuade him otherwise.
