Is there a way to export pipe network quantities to a .xls, .csv, .txt, etc. file (from C3D 2008)? It's been a looong time since I swam in the c3d pool and I don't recall if this can be done. I thought I could just do a pipe table and export it to .csv, but that option is not available in a c3d based table apparently.
Please advise.

open the toolbox
there should be a couple of usable pipe reports....
also explore SAMPLE LINE GROUP and Quantity Take Off procedures

Yeah I just found where to run a report on it. I don't like the way the report is set up though. Isn't there a way to modify the report template?

for a table there is a label style trick that will let one attach to the pipe...then drag label into table to keep dynamic link between the pipe and it's properties shown on a table

yeah sure....
you go now and LEARN how to format XML reports,
WAIT first go download and learn how to use a(n) XML Editor because autodesk didn't give us any kind of report generator.
Then you can create and format your own reports...
