Title: random lines
Post by: AfricaAD on December 13, 2004, 01:47:42 PM
I have a few drawings saved as & info has been copied from file to file. The problem is I have lines showing up when plot previewed & plotted. All objects/lines are at 0,0,0. Originally all lines were plines. I have exploded most of the plines, & I do have blocks & an xref. The explosion of the plines fixed a couple of the drawings.

I have come across this before in the past and have forgotten the fix. Any suggestions?

I have seen it as well. It happens infrequently here. Another issue I have seen along those same lines (no pun intended) is that when you have an mline where both ends align in the x or y plane (as when you would draw a u shaped line) a phantom line is plotted across the end points.
I have found no solution outside of exploding the plines and mlines

Have you tried setting all your z's to zero?

Sometimes that works.

Little :O)

I may have found a solution.

The random lines appear only when I have multiple drawings open in one session & I print. Not sure yet if this occurs if I batch plot.

Solution:
Have only 1 file open when printing.

Well... damn ... our batch plot routine requires that we start with an open drawing so we have access to the VBA engine ...maybe I'll look into doing a single drawing compatability mode....

Not sure if it affects batch plot cuz it pauses or waits. I may be sending plots thru too quickly which interrupts the previous plot I sent. Thats just my assumption.
