Was it ever a useful compiler for AutoCAD?  Which versions?

Not really, I downloaded the free compiler years ago but without the mfc lib's etc it was hard work. I think Cornbread got it working once but not without some work (compared to just using VS at least) and I'm pretty sure it didn't include any MFC related lib's from arx.

Thanks Mick.  I've started a simple test project and want to use boost flyweight, but it will not compile with VC7.0.

I think it may be time my applications stop supporting A2004 - 2006.

No version of ObjectARX ever used VC 7.1.

P.S.  I haven't received any response to an email sent on 10/5, then again on 10/29. I'll send it again right now.
