Title: [Autocad 2009] Menu Browser
Post by: jnieman on August 11, 2008, 02:51:53 PM
Is there a way to get the Menu Browser to pull down via a keyboard entry?

That little partial-second delay from clicking on it to it actually rolling down is a tiny PITA.  I'd like if I could hit a button on the keyboard, it pull down... that way the time it takes to pull down would be taken by shifting my eyes to that part of the screen, moving the mouse to where I need to be, and it should work a lot smoother.

I perused the help file but all the "procedures" only point to clicking on the button.

Alt+S will open it with the focus in the search bar.

hey, hey... that may just work out for me!  Thankee!

...now to see if I can map that to something a little more finger-friendly...

There are several ALT-key that you can use. ALT+A, ALT+F, etc.

Thanks for the tip, I think ALT+F will be the winner.. just don't like the focus going to the search bar, and I'm more used to using Alt+F in day-to-day functions.

I was aware of the alt-shortcuts for normal menus in most windows applications... but I guess for some reason, my mind disassociated that function, since they moved to the menu browser.
