Hi all,
I'm just getting into 3D Cad via 2007 modeling. I drew this object in 2007 modeling and
can't seem to make a solid out of it. Just wondering if somebody with more experience than
me can do it? If any of you can do it, I would appreciate it if you could record your steps
so I can learn how I can do it for future use.

I've only got 2005 at the house, can you save it to an earlier format?

Do you want it to be a solid or to have 3D faces? either way it's not too complicated.
3D face would be an easy start so you can navigate around it and shade it etc.
Just start the command and pick your three corners of each face. You have four
of them.
To make it into a 3D solid, you can start with a rectangle solid that is your longest
length, width and height dimension. Then you want to create 2 triangle solids to
subtract from the rectangle solid to get your end result.
use plines and extrude to create your basic 3d shapes as required
or draw, modeling to get the basic shapes...

Here it is. I saved it to r14 format which almost everyone can open, view and maybe make into

I followed your advice and used the command "3dface" and got exactly what I wanted when I thought
the process was going to be a lot more complicated. The only question I have is can I use this object now
with the remainder of my model being solid? Not sure how to turn my "3dface" object into a solid.

made with "3dface" command.

Perhaps my TETRA.lsp (for making any 3DSOLID Tetrahedrons) can help...

Is the 'solid' that you want just that cheese wedge looking thing? Or do you really want a solid that is like an empty volume inside that area defined by the lines in your file?
It would look like you should start with a BOX, and then SLICE off the pieces you don't want.
Or Start with a BOX, and create some WEDGES or PYRAMIDS and use the SOLSUB command to subtrack out the mass you do not want.
For myself I would probably use the SLICE route.
Should you need that resultant to be 'hollow' or empty then follow up with the SHELL command.

3D face is just a surface and not a solid. I only mentioned it as sometimes someone just needs
a surface. By looking at your shape, it was a good quick and easy step to take to visualize exactly
what you are modeling.
If you want it to be a solid mass, then use the method I or mjfarrell mentioned.

Extrusion of end elevation and 2 slice commands.
