Title: stretch in dynamic block issue

i have everything i want to work properly except the stretch.
right now it will stretch the block as i want, but it will NOT stretch (make longer) the small line at the basepoint of the block. any ideas?
this is my first dynamic block.

nevermind, i just figured it out, i was selecting everything by accident.
