I came across a version of visual basic 4.0 I have often pondered
the idea of learning this language.....Is this version worth loading and learning for starters? Or should I just go buy an upgrade :?

I would keep it, but you can download Visual Basic 5.0 Control Creation Edition for free from Microsoft. 8)
