Title: Tips on Stretch
Post by: M-dub on November 06, 2003, 02:14:07 PM
Anyway, EVERYONE who reads this probably already knows this, but maybe not...
After starting the stretch command, try typing in CP and see what you get...
The reason I think this is worth posting is because I haven't used more than one line in my command line window for years and years...
Don't laugh, but I just figured the cp thing out within the past year or two and find it SO handy...I just wondered if there was anyone else out there who didn't know about it.

Anyone else have some tips that may not be commonly known or you find to be very handy?  Maybe try to keep these tips limited to default AuotCAD installations...(?)

Cheers,
Mike

Here's one. You know that little side bar that exists since 2002 on the open dialog with some folders in it. Did you know you can add any and remove some folders as a shortcut. Pretty cool.

Actually, yeah...I really like that one...
I have AutoCAD start in my own directory of shortcuts to different folders on our network.  Acts like a 'Favourites' folder.  Very handy!

My startup does the same thing. It's set to open up to the Active folder. All I have to do is remember which sub-division I'm working in and select it. Back to stretch, have you used mstretch from express fools.

Actually, you can use CP with many commands not just stretch.

I read on some AutoCAD web site about a MText TIP.
Some times in A2K4 the text appears quite small in the MText dialog box. While in the editing section you can CTRL+Mousse wheel to zoom in and out.
