Title: Dtext & Mtext
Post by: yyou on July 09, 2004, 04:03:48 PM
Why do people use mtext for a short text like: '4x6' or '2' or '8"'....?

I went to help out a company 2 wks ago and all there text are done in Mtext.  The text editor there is wordpad; therefore, whenever I wanted to edit a text wordpad came up.  It is really a time consumming.

Was there a leader attached to the text, if so that is why.

Leaders to the best of my knowledge attach only to MText.

I use MTEXT for everything, but we have little 1 or 2 button key-ins for everything, too.

TIP:
Use MTEXTED to prefix your wordpad text editor with :lisped# as in:

:lisped#C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Accessories\wordpad.exe

If the mtext entity has less than 32 characters it will pop up in a dialog box editor just like single line text, more than 32 will pop to the editor.
