Title: Rendering 2D geometry with 3D model

Ok, so we do our site plans as 2D data and any structures, I tend to model, unless it's some simple typical metal building.

How can I get a 2D site plan to show in a render along with my 3D model that's sitting on top of it?

heretofore, the 2d just doesn't show at all.

Can you IMPRIT those 2D things on a solid face. You then need to draw them exactly on the plane of the face.
Unfortunetaly you'll got to color those entities afterwhile (colors don't appear in shading mode).
