Title: Restoring the VBA Function Area
Post by: David Hall on January 30, 2007, 09:49:12 AM
Since we have updated our software here at the Swamp, we have temporally lost our function storage area.  All of the functions uploaded from before are not lost, but we need to sort them logically, and recreate the area so that they are accessable.  Mark and I are working on recreating the folders, but neither of us can remember exactly what we had before, so I am posting this poll to ask you guys what you want/need/ would like to see.  I will compile the results, and sort the functions and post a link as soon as we can.

Please post or PM me with additions to the poll and I will update it.

thanks

Blocks and attributes are usually a good one to have. :-)

As options are added, you can remove your vote and revote if you wish.

Can't I just vote for more than 3?
I like all of the options so far...

Each time I update the poll, I have added more voting options.  The reality of it is I will probably use 90% of everything posted as a suggestion.  I am only using a poll so the options are all located in one area instead of spread throughout the thread.  If I miss one, I hope another mod will add it for me.

If you didn't have a ROBOTS.TXT file, you could check the WayBackMachine.  :-)

I like what you have so far but, I think you should have:
Layers
Xrefs
SheetSets
etc.

Let me know when it's up so I can put a whole bunch of stuff out there.

I have begun updating the function area with the folders you all suggested.  Great job helping me with this, as I just couldn't remember what we had.  If you think of any more folders, just PM me and I will get them updated.  the link to the new area is

BTW, there are 2 functions in the root area I wasn't sure where to file, so if you wrote them or know what they do, let me know.

Thanks

FormatMultiReturn is to be used with the get file routine. It will format a multiple selection list for use in opening and editting files.

Added stuff to the Layers, Misc, SheetSets, Text and Xref folders.

The stuff I put in the sheet sets folder is from JTB World Blog.
The form I made myself cobbing together the JTB stuff and coming up with my own stuff too.
It is for Custom Sheet Properties and will have to be changed to suit your company's sheet set properties.
