Title: Civil3D - Geolocation Maps
Post by: MSTG007 on November 05, 2015, 01:01:03 PM
I was wondering if we are allowed to use the Geolocation Maps on our plan sets for location / vicinity type maps? Do we need to add a source with the image that we clip? (Bing.com)?

Thanks

Some dry reading. (http://www.autodesk.com/company/legal-notices-trademarks/terms-of-service-autodesk360-web-services/special-services-terms-for-autodesk-live-map-data)

I would think that identifying the source is not required.
However for some Permit maps that we do here, we do identify the source. (Note, we do NOT use Bing! maps)

I think this is where autodesk ran afoul of Google and using Import from Google Earth within Civil 3D and licensing...
I don't think that issue will arise as they worked that out with Micro$oft in advance of offering Bing map import.
