Title: IFilter and ACDWGFilter16.dll

Anyone here who knows about IFilter?

Long time ago (Acad 2006 / 2011??, Win XP) there was the file "ACDWGFilter16.dll" installed by AutoCAD, and it offered IFilter-features (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IFilter) to the OS.

AutoCAD 2014 missed this feature, and in 2015 and 2016 I can find this file again (in different folders). But it seem not to work - it is listed with "SearchFilterView" by Nirsoft, but I get no results and an error. Today's answer of Autodesk is the same as one year ago: "..the status of change request is that Autodesk recognizes that a product modification will be required, but has not determined when or how the product modification will be available."

Who uses IFilter for DWG?
Who uses the features of Autodesk? And how?
Who uses additional software?
