worth a look.

Yep, disconcerting comments about civil 3d.
-
Who can tell? All I see are pages of comments of whiny people complaining they can't get their software for free (or other ridiculous price).

The phrase that showed up there "the Comcastic way Autodesk treats its actual customers" rings a bell.....
As for the rest -- no-one should ever expect a CEO of a publicly traded company to provide meaningful answers instead of marketing plugs. Unless there's a massive 'safe harbour' statement attached as a massive caveat, which renders any possibly meaningful answer meaningless..
Applies to Adobe, Redhat, Autodesk, Fiat, Canon, HP, Ubuntu, etc etc etc

Yes...
Let me paraphrase:
Why should we improve Civil 3D, when we are busy trying to turn Infraworks into the next Civil Product so we can charge you to use our cloud servers to do your civil modeling? Why would we ever FIX what doesn't work in the product you own, when we can sell you something else that doesn't even worse?
Oh yeah, and please be sure to pay you subscription fees, so we can ignore product development in any meaningful manner.
I think we are all being BASSED

Also interesting to note; NO ONE seems to embrace either product development strategies, or forced subscription/product benefits derived from same.
