Title: microstation question
Post by: ELOQUINTET on June 10, 2004, 09:22:09 AM
hey i have a friend whos received some cad drawings translated from microstation. the drawings are all missing their xrefs. she told me they have the original files but in the master file there is no path to the missing xref so she can repath. they have about a 100 xrefs and are having to go through and guess which one belongs where. i did a little reading on the subject and think that whoever translated it chose the option to seperate the xrefs from the drawing. i don't know anything about microstation so i told her that's what i thought it was. any help would be greatly appreciated

They must have cause i think (THINK!) Microstation converts all the files needed too and keeps the references attached.

yeah i haven't seen the drawings but took her explaination and did some research and it said there was an option not attach them. first off i have no idea why anyone would want to receive a job this way. i would say i didn't receive  :roll: any solution other than strangling the mickystation guy

See here --> http://theswamp.org/lilly.pond/Ron/dgntodwg.exe

These are the steps I take to convert drawings and they keep the references.
