Title: is this normal on 2006 ??
Post by: Andrea on April 08, 2006, 09:49:28 AM
don't know if it's a bug....

but....try this..

1) make simple line.

2) select that line.

3) pick a end of the line..(the grip must be attached to the cursor)

4) than you have **STRETCH** option....ok, so let's stretch it à 0,0 by entering 0,0 value and press enter.

What happen ?

Hi,

Check the system variable DYNPICOORDS, if your value is 0 relative coordinates and if your value is 1 absolute coordinates.

I think you have relative coordinates and the line don't strecht to 0,0.

P.D. If you want the relative coordinates but move the point of the line to 0,0 can write #0,0

Thank you for posting that solution!  I use coordinate entry much of the time working with civil drawings and wound up turning off dynamic input because of this problem.  Perhaps now I can set this variable and give dynamic input another try.

And now I am even more greatfull.  I had lost track of Elise Moss and her very informative web site after the demise of CadVault.  That site is now properly bookmarked, thankyou.

As you noticed that it became impossible to recover the coordinates you entered previsouly with the help of the top arrow key, choose also to put the variable INPUTHISTORYMODE to 0.

OUffff, it's ggod to feel again at home.
