I thought it was different .. Isn't the download the help files for incorporation into the VS ide ?

It’s the same docs that come with the arx2009 SDK (not the .CHM files) , there is an installer for VS.
I like using the H2 viewer though http://helpware.net/mshelp2/h2viewer.htm

You can view the help files in "Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Documentation" or "Dynamic Help" in Visual Studio 2008.

My only concern is that you are redistributing something that normally requires one to agree to an EULA.  :-o
