(Microstation) Background Color

How does one change the background color?

I brought some stuff home to look at and both model and sheet backgrounds are white (hard to see yellow elements)
I try to change Settings>Color Settings set to to a dark color>apply , as stated in help, and it warns me I can not change settings in dwg mode.

Well..........it does @ work  :?

Try Workspace, Preferences and go to the View Options on the bottom left.

The second option on the left Black Background -> White

and see if that will swap your background color...
