I have used nothing but AMD chips since as long as I can remember, until my most recent computer upgrade in the office. I have found that AMD chips provide a more stable environment, better processing for my needs, and a whole lot less expensive. If it is the chip, then it may be a defective chip or it may be overclocked (not too good working with processor intensive programs) or it may be overheating. There are too many things that can go wrong that people want to blame on the chip type, rather than the enviroment the chip is used in.
