Title: Annotetion scales
Post by: Nardino on September 09, 2012, 12:25:09 PM
Hello, I have many drawings that each has many items at different annotation scales. Is there a way to delete all of these annotation scales and only keep one?
thanks....Nardino

It won't delete all of them because there's a standard set of scales built into AutoCAD, but look into resetting your annotation scale list.

When you reset the scales, the ones being used remain.

One way is use OBJECTSCALE command.

Type in OBJECTSCALE
Press ENTER
Type ALL
Press ENTER

It should let you delete the current Annotation scale but will not let you delete the last one left.

Change all of the text to some style that is NOT defined as annotative,

Then reset the annotation scale list

.....And Dimensions, Hatches, Multileaders, Blocks, etc., etc.
All can be annotative.  Not just text.

When different objects are referencing rogue annotation scales, they can be *very* difficult to remove.  Quick select can help some, but I'm not certain there is a good way to do it automatically.
