How to get coordinate for a solid?
« on: August 21, 2012, 06:04:46 AM »
HI All

we Want to create a mold for this solid
(attached image and dwg file)
To create this mold we have to get coordinate each 200mm into 2 direction
What I am doing is creating another solid and subtract then get coordinate using a block with a field (the block in the file)
It is normal and taking time for one direction but for second direction I think that it is suicide.

Is there an easier way to finish this task?

try this
- create SECTIONPLANE as needed
- load this lisp http://www.theswamp.org/index.php?topic=42478.msg476801#msg476801
- steps above will generate sections. you can easy snap to edges
see sample file.
