I've seen this before, but can't remember when. I think it has something to do with AEC objects. The message of Civil3D doesn't mean there is Civil3D 2014 yet, but just a general message that it can't read the AEC objects. It might be a drawing from MEP, Revit, or something else that contains other object types, for which you don't have an object enabler for.
