Font Help
« on: February 18, 2005, 08:12:00 AM »
Good morning. I'm trying to get some help on a font we use here at work.

The problem is that the font we use will not display the < or > signs when typed. We use archstyl.shx here. Is there a way to configure it or maybe even find if requires a special keystroke to display those symbols?

Thanks

There is no "<" or ">" in archstyl.shx ... archs.shx does but it does not have the same feel as archstyl.shx

Is there a way to customize a font?

Yes, and its a pain, but very do-able.  Do you have the SHP file for that font?  If not, it can be converted. (Assuming its not copyrighted or something)

The problem with customizing that font, is that if you share the drawing with others and they have an unedited version of the font, it will not show correctly.

As I said, there are other arcitectural fonts that have those symbols, perhaps you can find one to your liking.
