Plot command not working properly
« on: March 29, 2006, 04:24:44 PM »
Quote from: AutoCad Command Line
Command: _plot
Document "Y:\Common\Projects\School\0511\BS-2.dwg" has a command in progress.
Hit enter to cancel or [Retry]: R

Has anyone ever got this before?  I don't have any commands active.  The publish command works but not plot.
Any ideas?

what about regular plot?
Everyone has a photographic memory, Some just don't have film.
They say money can't buy happiness, but it can buy Bacon and that's a close second.
Sometimes the question is more important than the answer. (Thanks Kerry for reminding me)

I have that happen occasionally and the only thing that helps is to close AutoCAD and re-open.

What other kind of plot is there?

Thanks Keith, that worked.  You'd think that as many times as I tell my users that I would listen to my own advice.  NOT!

Thanks again,

It looked like you  were using _plot from the command line

That's what you get when you click the plot button.

Hi

Maybe the following will offer some clues ( personal opinion, it is nearly always best to ignore the "Applies to:" section found in TD's )...

ID: TS48899 - Understanding the error "<DWG file name> has a command in progress"

Have a good one, Mike

Thanks for the link Mike, but Keith's suggestion to reboot fixed the issue.

I used to get that quite a lot in acad2000 specially in drawings with layer and spatial indexing on.
It hasn't been happening so far on acad2006 so it's a bit disappointing to see it happen to you whdjr.
