Well while Autocad was open I tried to open other dwgs and it was slow the first time, not as long as the startup but too long for me. Then I close that one and try and open it again and opens fast.  :?

When starting up it seems to freeze at 98% when opening the acad template......  I'm guessing no one has had this problem?

I found it takes a long time to start up, but not that long.  Have you turned off the internet updating feature (little sattelite dish icon in botom tray)?  You have to let it do its thing once and then you can disable it.

Are you starting up in the basic workspace or the new 3D modeling one?  Are you loading up older lisp routines in a startup suite?

Do you still have the standard search paths?  If you have some network paths, are you sure you have permissions set correctly in those folders?  Just to confirm, do you have antivirus activated and if so, is it configured for AutoCAD?

Okay figured it out....

When I disable my local area connection Autocad boots up fine.... Auto was trying to connect to the Internet....

What we did is add the IP it needs to my allowed sites and now works like a charm!

Thanks for the help Dino...  :kewl:
