Invisible Osnap Markers....
« on: March 10, 2006, 12:53:59 PM »
For some reason a coworker is unable to see her osnap markers, they seem to be invisible! This only happens in this one drawing and when opened on another computer it works fine!

All boxes are checked in tools>options>drafting (autosnap settings)
autosnap marker size is correct size
osnap box is on
osnap setting boxes are checked....

what color are they set to?

Sometimes the question is more important than the answer. (Thanks Kerry for reminding me)

yea, but why only 1 dwg?  You said all other dwgs are fine on her machine right?

I opened it on my 2000LT and 2006 and it worked fine. She can also open diffrent drawings and it works.

In this drawing she can get to the osnap just fine, she just cant see the marker.

is she running a machine with the same setup as the others?  If there are things taking up a lot of resources like true-type fonts in the drawing then it can affect how the markers display.

Oh and for some reason undocking the commandline or maximizing the screen can also throw stuff off-kilter

Setup meaning hardware? I believe its diffrent. I think you may be right about the true-type fonts.... is there a way I can clean the drawing up?

If you really think it the fonts, then just try and replace all the true type fonts with standard shx fonts, and then see if she can see the snaps.  Other than that, I don't think there is a way, unless it is totally purged.

Do a save as and make a new file and see if it persists.

If all boxes are checked, it should work, but you could try:
Code: [Select]
(setvar "autosnap" (logior 1 (getvar "autosnap")))
to be sure.

Try setting viewres to about 1500.  I know this shouldn't make any difference, but sometimes viewres affects the display of things it isn't supposed to.
