Is this a BUG ?
« on: March 25, 2015, 03:13:35 PM »
Hi all,...

I've made few test with some layers..
Please follow these step and tell me if it do the same on your side.

on AutoCAD 2015:

1) 2 layers present  "0" and "DEFPOINTS"
2) current layer is "DEFPOINTS"
3) Now freeze layer "0"
4) Draw few lines..

Now you can see that your lines are not selectable....

Ok,..so...now Thaw your layer "0"

Now what..?
all lines STILL not selectable.

is this a BUG ?

if you select via CTRL+A the entities will be selected,..if you GRIP_move one of these,...
all other entities will disapear....but not erased..

can anyone try this and/or tell me if I'm crasy ?
Thank you.
Keep smile...

Not sure if this is a bug (I remember the layer zero/defpoints frozen thing from when I used AutoCAD) but, I got all the results you did except for the last problem with the other items disappearing.

Layer DEFPOINTS inherits layer 0 properties by design. I'm not sure whether this is documented, but it has always worked this way.

Well,...when I saw entity disapear after moving an object,..
I call this not only a bug,..but a major bug.

I don't realy mind if objects are selectable or not,..the fact is that ones you make these objects like that,...
even if you put all layers ON and THAW,....they must me selectable.

Do you get the same result after changing the view (for example, switching to an isometric view)?

I've experienced a similar intermittent issue (not caused by freezing layers) wherein an object becomes unselectable when in WCS 'Top' view, but may be selected when the view is not orthogonal to the axes.

You're right Lee,..(as always)  :)
by RESELECTING the same view,...they came selectable.
same with clicking on VIEWCUBE

Even that all disapear lines..appear suddently after View reselection.
