Title: Why can't I....
Post by: ronjonp on July 15, 2004, 11:02:35 AM
I am running AutoCAD 2002 vanillla. I have this mtext that the paragraphs will not let me indent the second...third line..etc of paragraphs. All I want to do is add 2 spaces to the beginning of each one of these lines but is does not work. For some reason it adds the spaces in the middle of the sentence (which only show up when you space over the first line so far that the word wrap reformats the paragraph). What is going on?

Example:

10-INCH PAINTED STEEL DISCHARGE PIPE WITH EPOXY COATED INTERIOR

->RESISTANT TO CHEMICALS AND FERTILIZERS PAINTED TO MATCH PUMP

->STATION INSIDE BUILDING

Here is the drawing if somebody could take a look at it.

Thanks,

Because Autodesk decided to hold that feture off until AutoCAD 2004 so that you would feel compelled to upgrade.

Tabs aren't going to happen pre 2K4 and the only way I've been able to do it is to add a carriage return where I want the first line to end and put the spaces in front of the lines I want indented.

It's probably adding the spaces at the end of the previous line, unless you're hard-coding the line breaks.
