Title: Fraction Font file
Post by: MarkO on November 09, 2004, 09:37:18 AM
I typically use autocad autodimensioning but I also use a Fraction font file (i.e. %%201 = 1/16 ...%%215 = 15/16). I have just
upgraded to Acad2005 and now its broken. In stead of displaying
the stacked fraction it displays a foreign character. Can anyone help?

Are you sure the font file is loaded? If ACAD did not find it one was substituted for it.

Might have to re-compile the .SHP file...

Recompiling wasn't necessary. Just had to dump the font into the font folder. I should have known but I am brain dead today -long days & short deadline.

Thanks

We had this years ago.

We used to use fraction.shx as a big font attached to simplex.shx.

What we found was that new versions of simplex.shx wouldn't work and we has to use the autoCAD 12 version.

We've tried to phase them out nowadays by using purely mtext because drawing viewers insert ??? instead of the fraction.

I can ramble on for years .......
