Upside Down Culvert
« on: March 08, 2010, 08:25:38 PM »
Can Civil 3D invert a box culvert and draw it upside down? and without the base slab on top?

We are using an upside down 450×300mm box culvert as canal.  The top gets covered with a steel grate.  I am drawing the culvert shape as a polyline and creating a subassembly from it.

the polyline as Assembly might just be the easiest ...or use the Channel assembly or trench with Lid?

I had a look at the Channel assembly, but I will stick to polyline assembly.

I think the polyline 'option' is correct from what I know (not much some times) unless there is some information you can't get out of the assembly due to lack of point codes, or transitioning control.
Otherwise one might build it from Generic Links, and assign the point codes and targets as needed.
