Custom Ribbons (2009) Display?
« on: April 17, 2008, 01:13:07 PM »
How does one get a partial menu's ribbon bar to display in 2009?

I have added my own custom ribbon tab and bars to a custom partial menu, which loads automatically with CAD.
Does one have to add the custom ribbons to the AutoCAD MAI.CUI to get them to display? I hope not.

Help is appreciated.

You probably just need to make sure they're turned on in the workspace.

It's only possible to make a ribbon in the main .cui.  :ugly: :pissed:

I hope they fix this fast, because in our office the custom.cui is main.

This. 2009 has taken the 2006 CUI design errors from the point where it's awkward and difficult to work around them to set up a maintainable heavily customised corporate environment, to the point where it's completely impossible.

Given the "speed" at which other CUI design mistakes have been fixed, I think your hope in likely to be in vain. I get the feeling that Autodesk is still in denial mode about CUI after the user thrashing it received at 2006 release time.
