Command Line and Number of Lines
« on: March 02, 2016, 07:33:09 AM »
Just recently, when I dock my command line I get nine lines displaying. I used to be able to drag an edge to resize it. I seem to have lost that ability and can't find the variable to assign a number of lines.

No, everything else is movable, dockable, and resizable.

(I almost misspelled dockable with an "i".)

Are you talking about CLIPROMPTLINES or are you talking about the size of the actual box its self?

Hold control while hovering over the top of command line.

Hold control while hovering over the top of command line.

That does nothing.

Reason for not being able to resize:
Command line docked at top.

Solution:
Dock at bottom, re-size, and move to the top.

That makes me sick just thinking about it.

I too have my command line docked along the top (below the ribbon) and have experienced the same lack of resizing capabilities. I think I've redone it enough times that it's finally holding but it was moving around constantly after a restart. The CUI customization and workspace don't seem to save the desired settings as expected.

There is a stupid setting for that...although it isn't always desirable

Yep, mines set to save changes. I've even forced saved workspaces to various names then immediately saved over the Named Workspace I want to be current and default.

Here's an old link (if it works) https://www.theswamp.org/index.php?topic=41222.msg463812#msg463812

This was my go to for having the command line stay how I wanted it. I just restarted AutoCAD and it's gone rogue again.
