Title: What template was used?
Post by: Guest on December 04, 2006, 10:39:12 AM
Is there a way to determine what template file was used to create a drawing?

Not definitively.  You basically need to use visual inspection of the DWG.

Autocad does not maintain any sort of link between a DWG and its template (although it probably should).

I suppose you could put your own tracking mechanism in your template(s). Maybe a dictionary or xdata....

Then you could query that info down the road....
