AERIAL IMAGES

HAD ANYONE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH LOADING IMAGES IN MAP 3D OR RASTER DESIGN 2010.  IT SEEMS TO TAKE 20 TIMES LONGER TO LOAD THE IMAGE FILES THAN IN THE PREVIOUS RELEASE.

Wait until you get 4-5 of them in one dwg. 8-)

They are SID files.  I never had any issues with them before.  So I suppose Autodesk decided to change something somewhere.

I have found 2010 to be a much bigger memory hog than past releases... :-(

try timimg them when the image file is local, against the same image file on server, verify that any and all real time anti-virus scanning is NOT looking at these file types
