Not good.  But now I know what I want for Xmas: a healthy Sinc!
If you are going to fly by the seat of your pants, expect friction burns.

try {GreatPower;}
   catch (notResponsible)
      {NextTime(PlanAhead);}
   finally
      {MasterBasics;}

Well damn. :(

So many questions. Trying to honour privacy, but so many questions. <bites tongue>

Get well Richard!! Prove all the doctors wrong!!

I wish I could say more, Michael. I now know that Sinc was found unconscious in his home. As best anyone can tell, he'd been there 2-3 days (he lives alone and it was Thanksgiving week in the US). The doctors still think his liver was affected by a combination of  medications he's been taking. It started producing ammonia that was released back into the body which clouded his brain...this probably explains why he hasn't been very active online for some time now. The liver is normally able to regenerate itself, but I guess it has been damaged to a point where it is either unable to do so or is doing it very slowly.

And due to his time with no food or water before he was found, his kidneys also started their shutdown mode. They appear to have returned to normal function, so we just need the liver to start doing it's thing again.

His sister posted on Facebook, so I guess I can say it here, that she and her sister (who both live here in CA) are going to be headed to CO "to say goodbye, just in case..".

Abundant thank you for the info Jeff. Sure reminds one of the delicate fragility of life, and the rather narrow corridor of optimal bodily conditions within which we all exist. I so hope Richard has a full recovery and long healthy life ahead.

I + XI = X is true ...  ... if you change your perspective.

I no longer CAD or Model, I just hang out here picking up the empties beer cans

Got off the phone with Jim Sincovec about 20 minutes ago. Doctors have just told him they don't expect Richard to make it through Christmas. Nothing short of a miracle will help now....

At a loss for words, sorry.
