Table Formula problem
« on: June 20, 2008, 12:41:50 PM »
This is for Site Data calculations:

Cell B7 has the Total Building Area value:
Cell B7 contents: 17,544 Sq. Ft. (derived from a field that gets a polyline's area)

Cell B12 has the Required Parking value which is derived from the Total Building area minus 4000 and then divided by 400:
Cell B12 contents: =(B7-4000)/400

Cell B12 value should end up being "33.86" (taken from excel)
Cell B12 value shows "43.79"

Any ideas on the mix up?

Is it a units thing? Have you tested it with other values to see if they're wrong too?

I will have to look into that.  I have since moved on for the day, seeing as I can only hide programming/customizing from the boss for a few 10 minute intervals a day!  I'll get back on it next chance I get.  Thanks for the suggestion, Kate!

That's horrible that you have to 'hide' customizing time from the Boss. I guess I could understand it if you spent HOURS doing it. All customizing can do is speed you up in the long run.

We would easily double our drawing time without my customizing, which I distribute to everyone else.
