« on: February 28, 2011, 06:24:26 AM »
I use table for many calculations, but when I egg Table "cilcal" a second calculation, then the first it’s updated.
Is there a possibility of using a lisp the table to number, so the previous table not will by update, but egg cilcal1, cilcal2, cilcal,……

Sorry for my bat English

So instead of updating the table, you want to copy the table and then update the copy? Then the next time copy the last updated table and update that copy?

Lee, I think their translator is coming up with 'egg' when it should be 'for example'. I've seen quite similar translations in the past.

Can you post a DWG example to look at?

I make many calculations in Excel and import them via a lisp in Autocad.
For example, I make a calculation for a hydraulic cylinders, I use table "cyl", but I still make a calculation for a odder cylinder, I can not table "cyl" otherwise using the first updated.
Now I want to look like a lisp "cyl" is used to automatically and table is created with the name "cyl-1" or "cyl-1" consists "cyl-2 ".....

If you no longer want the table to update with the source Excel file, remove the data link from the table before adding the next table. If you need the data links to stay intact, I think you will need to save the Excel worksheet or file as a new name and use that with a new data link. Use a new data link for each table.

However, I don't use Data Links myself. Perhaps someone else can suggest a better method, although I'm pretty sure if you have 2 tables they can't have different data from the same data link. And Tables don't have names, so the only way I can think of to control this is by the name of the worksheet/data link.
