If you set the support path for AutoCAD to include the location of the hatch patterns, any that are not in the acad.pat file will show up in the custom hatch pattern display and you can look at them there.

If you are wanting a stand alone viewer, I am sorry I don't know about one.

Does this mean you were after a slide viewer, not a hatch viewer ?

The HatchKit demonstration version provides a quick viewer for hatches and hatch collections.
