Shape keeps disappearing
« on: February 13, 2008, 09:30:02 AM »
I've got a linetype with a shape embedded into it.  When I close and reopen the drawing, the shape is gone from the file.  The line that had the embedded shape now shows "dashes" where the shape used to be.

Any ideas on how to fix this?  I'm using a standard shape (ltypeshp.shx) from Land Desktop - I think it might even be a Vanilla standard.

Does a regen make them reappear?

LTscale?

File Search Paths?

LTScale might be set correctly, but did you try changing it to anything else?

Waaaaaaay out there guesses but

(1) what layer are the shapes on?
(2) is a clip active?
(3) do you have viewres maxed out?
(4) what shademode is active (wireframe, hidden, yada)?
(5) are there any pigs in space (entities far far far away from the origin and/or the majority of the drawing elements)?

I'm sorry, man, between MP and MDub, all my guesses were taken care of.  I had thought of MDub's suggestions and MP's suggestion of making sure you have 2D Wireframe set... that one gets me often.

When you add a line with said shape in it, do you ever get a message at the command prompt?  What about when you re-open the drawing?

Maybe another dumb question, but are you sure the shape file is on one of your support paths?
